Oh the drama!

I found out on Tuesday that there was a third person added to the senior show slot I originally had. She's an illustrator who formerly did just really crap drawings and paintings who switched over to doing photography that warrants no more accolades than a very good stock photograph does, and also has the weakest concept behind her project. She hadn't been signed up for the class at all, and when she did, instead of being punished for her tardiness like a few other people did, she was slotted in with myself and my show partner - both of us who are, not to sound condescending or egotistical, of a lot higher calibre than she is, in aesthetics and concept.

So, I essentially threw a hissy fit, and lo and behold the squeaky wheel got the grease. My former show partner and the other girl are still having their show on the original date at the original gallery, but I've changed. The bad of the change is that I'm going two weeks earlier than before - the earliest show date I think it is - and in the gallery I didn't want . . . but, the good SO outweighs the bad:

*ahem* I'M GETTING A SOLO SENIOR SHOW!!

And if that means I have to cut one drawings out of the projected quota, then so be it, I'M GETTING A SOLO SHOW! Like I originally wanted! This hardly EVER happens in regards for the senior shows, just because of all the hoops that normally have to be jumped through, all of which were cut because I had the right person say the right thing to get me what I want. (Concerted cultivation at it's finest!)
